Minimum Requirements:
- Choose several events (at least five) that
occur in the book. Write an article, editorial, or essay about each
event.
- Make sure to include some coverage of the
trial.
- The newspaper needs to reflect the attitudes and
lifestyles of the townspeople.
- Your newsletter should include illustrations for
your articles.
- Name your newsletter. (Be creative!)
Hints:
- Remember the different types of newsletter
articles: fiction, non-fiction, sports, advertisements, letters to the editor,
church news, and obituaries.
- You can use magazines to cut out pictures if you
don�t want to draw or clip art from the computer.
- Your pages can have several columns, allowing you
to fit more information.
- You can include quotes from the novels.
- Use the facts from the book as your starting
point. You will have to add a little information based on what you already
know (quotes, more detail, approximate dates, etc.)
- Please type the newspaper if at all possible. We
will spend at least one class period in the computer lab. The library is open
before and after school if you need to use a computer.
